Course submission guidelines

At Prosikshya, education is not just content delivery; it is a transformative experience that empowers individuals and communities across Nepal. We recognize the vital role tutors play in this process, as creators and facilitators of knowledge who must uphold the highest standards of quality, ethics, and learner engagement. Our platform aims to provide accessible, reliable, and meaningful learning opportunities, so every course must be crafted with care, professionalism, and responsibility. These guidelines are designed to equip you with clear expectations and best practices that foster learner success, ensure legal compliance, and maintain the credibility of both you as a tutor and Prosikshya as a trusted educational platform.

1. Course Content & Structure

The foundation of any effective learning experience lies in the thoughtful organization and comprehensive coverage of content. Well-structured courses empower learners by presenting information in a clear, logical sequence, allowing them to build knowledge progressively without confusion or overwhelm. A course that balances depth with clarity and provides interactive elements will not only help learners retain information better but also keep them motivated to complete their learning journey. Structuring your course into coherent modules with clear objectives reflects your professionalism and dedication to quality education.

Minimum Video Lessons
Include at least 3 video lessons in your course. Each lesson should be between 5 and 30 minutes in duration.

Total Duration
Your course should aim to be 60 minutes or longer, depending on the complexity of the topic.

Modular Structure
Organize your content into clear, logical modules. Each module should have a descriptive title that reflects the topic covered.

Module Flow
Start every module with a short introduction and end it with a summary to help reinforce learning.

Downloadable Resource
Provide at least one downloadable resource per course. This could be a quiz, worksheet, set of notes, or a small assignment.

Course Description
Write a detailed course description (minimum 150 words) that includes:
– Learning goals and expected outcomes
– Target audience and required prior knowledge
– Course format and estimated completion time

Engagement Tools
Enhance learning by including reflection questions, self-assessments, or short projects where appropriate.

2. Originality and Intellectual Property

Creating original educational content is essential to foster trust, uphold academic integrity, and protect all parties from legal issues. By producing your own videos, presentations, and resources, you provide learners with unique value tailored to their needs.

Original Work Only
All course materials must be your own or legally licensed.

Use of Third-Party Materials
Only use content from the public domain or under a Creative Commons license that allows commercial use, and give proper attribution.

Prohibited Materials
Do not upload copied videos, scanned books, or unlicensed images.

Proof of Authorship
Keep drafts, scripts, or other content development evidence as proof of originality.

Policy on Infringement
Violation will lead to immediate course removal and permanent ban from the platform.

3. Course Format and Delivery

Prosikshya supports a fully asynchronous learning model to ensure learners can study at their own pace regardless of time or connectivity limitations. This format allows for quality control and universal accessibility.

Pre-Recorded Content
Courses must be fully pre-recorded and uploaded before being published.

No Live Sessions
Do not include webinars, Zoom links, or live components.

No Incomplete Content
Avoid uploading partial courses or making promises of future videos.

Self-Paced Design
Courses should be standalone and not rely on real-time interaction or tutoring.

Professional video production improves engagement, supports learning, and reflects credibility.

One Idea at a Time
Focus each video on one main concept to avoid overwhelming students.

Real-Life Examples
Use analogies, stories, or practical applications to help learners understand.
